Money Blocks Lessons, Activities, and Games

Money Blocks support early financial literacy by helping learners build a clear understanding of money through direct, hands-on representation. Each Money Block corresponds to a specific U.S. coin or dollar value, allowing students to see, build, compare, and reason about money as quantity—not just symbols.

This digital course includes ten short, sequential lessons that provide review, examples, and guided practice, games that reinforce the same concept, and optional Level It Up challenges to deepen understanding. Lessons are designed to be brief and instructor-guided, with pacing and advancement determined by instructor observation and learner readiness.

Note: The Money Blocks manipulatives are a supplemental resource and are not a replacement for the Integer Blocks used in core Math-U-See levels.
